Lizard! Lizard! Show Me Your Red Blanket!

A Green Anole (Anolis carolinensis), or  American Chameleon on the Elderberries outside of our South Window. They can change to brown to camouflage themselves. The male's  “red blanket” is a  "Dewlap" or  "throat fan"that they display while bobbing their head up and down for courtship and to establish their territory. This one likes ot hang out near the Hummingbird feeder and graze on the other flying insects that it attracts.  We've nicknamed him "Houdini".
